Quicksilver gearcase lubricant outperforms automotive gear oil in marine applications because of its specialized addictive package design. Quicksilver engineers oil for marine applications. The high performance gear lube is formulated to provide excellent lubrication and corrosion protection to lower gear components in high-horsepower and high-speed outboards and sterndrives. Additives improve adhesion to gears and internal components to prevent metal-on-metal contact and reduce wear. Special emulsifiers have been added to prevent damage in the event that water enters the lower gear case. Protect the lower unit your high output engine with a lube designed for the extremes of marine use.
